46% of LGBTQ+ workers are closeted in the workplace.

Despite 80% of non-LGBTQ employees stating that their LGBTQ+ co-workers should not have to hide who they are at work, the subliminal message that they send their colleagues betrays these good intentions and creates an impossible double standard.

WPC provides active ally educational seminars to help you understand this unconscious bias, bring awareness to common LGBTQ+ related workplace issues, and empower both non-LGBTQ and LGBTQ+ people with the knowledge to create a truly open and safe environment.

We pride ourselves on creating lifelong learning experiences and lasting change. Our workshops are designed for a corporate audience but can be adjusted for school children of all ages, and are intended to support and complement other internal initiatives. Training is offered both in-person and remotely via Zoom and are capped at 20 attendees. Each seminar includes a short, highly engaging presentation, real-life stories, and a fun, no-judgment zone for questions.

Who’s it for?

Everyone (both LGBTQ+ and non-LGBTQ people) from the summer intern through to your CEO.

What are the benefits?

LGBTQ+ employees who are out at work feel more empowered to speak up and take creative risks. They are able to show up and do their best work, bringing in more customers, increased revenue, and better productivity rates. Non-LGBTQ+ employees will leave with the confidence to be an active ally who advocates and speaks up for marginalized groups. They will have the vocabulary and empathy to develop deeper business connections and tackle other daunting professional obstacles to give your organization the competitive edge.

“WPC's Active Ally workshop taught me things I didn't even realize I didn't know! I feel like I have concrete ideas on what to do to make things just a little bit better for my LGBTQ+ friends and colleagues. But even more importantly, I learned what mistakes to avoid - things I may have done, with the best of intentions, but may have done more harm than good. We will certainly bring Susie back to reinforce her message of acceptance and respect.”
